Four Pegs Recap 6/28/15

This week was another great week at Four Pegs. The bar was packed with trivia players again this week and most of our teams were new teams. It was a great game with the score being tied by two or more teams several times throughout the game. Our last line round went over with mixed reviews, but everyone seemed to love TV Tribond. We had a three-way tie going into the final round. Once the answers were turned in and the final scores tabulated. It was Beercat back on top.  Congratulations!

We had another great night of trivia at Four Pegs last night.  For the first time ever we had a perfect round from every team in round five, our Word Ladder round.  It was a very close game throughout with 5 points separating 1st and last place going into the last round.  It was back and forth between two teams all night, Carrell and Hung Like a Dragon. In the end those teams had to duke it out not once, but twice in a tie-breaker round. Carrell took the tie-breaker round but ended up in second place. Our winner last night, with a come from behind victory, was once again Beercat.

Four Pegs Recap - 5/10/15

We had a packed house for the first time since the weather made a turn for the better. It was great to see some returning teams and mostly new teams. It was a very close game through out with there being a two or three way tie for first almost all the way to the end. When all of the questions were asked and all of the answers tallied the winner was once again Beercat. Congratulations!

We had a beautiful Sunday night which meant most of the people at Four Pegs were outside enjoying the patio. We did still have several teams who took advantage of our trivia night. It was great to see some new teams again this week. We also love to see our returning teams as well. It was a rough game overall. We had some distractions in rounds 4 & 5 that the bartender was able to take care of. Our winners again this week were Beercat fresh off a bye week.

DiOrio's Scores - Beercat Strikes Again

Beercat is on a roll. They've quickly taken charge over at Four Peg Beer Lounge, winning a majority of the games in the past couple of months. Last night they paid a visit to DiOrio's Pizza and Pub and dominated once again. That's two wins in one week. They're virtually unstoppable. Or are they?

Sunday Showers Bring New Teams to Trivia Night

Sunday April 19, 2015 - Four Pegs

We had a great crowd again this week at Four Pegs. We had several new teams and several returning teams. The game started out great for our teams and several of them kept the momentum rolling throughout the game. As a matter of fact, 1 point separated the top teams for most of our rounds and there were several lead changes. Going into our sixth and final round it was anyone's game. Most of the teams scored very similarly in the final round, but our winner, Beercat, took the game with a monster score of 44 in the last round. Lately, it is looking like Beercat is the team to beat. They better not get too comfortable though, there are a lot of teams looking to take over as King of the Mountain.

Four Pegs Recap 4/12/15

We had a beautiful end to the weekend this Sunday and that included a great round of trivia.  We had great scores the first couple of rounds, some were even perfect. Scores were very tight through out the game. It wasn't until the fifth round that we saw some separation in the teams.

This week saw some highs and lows. Round two, "There is no such thing as a stupid answer" had some of the best questions. As the host, this round was by far my favorite. It was doubly hard to keep a straight face while asking the questions.  Round four brought a collective groan from the teams when one of questions from the song round was replayed. For those who weren't there, enjoy.

After all the questions were read, and all of the scores were tallied it was Beercat who took the crown again this week.

Four Pegs Recap 4/6/15

Last night we had a smaller crowd than normal since it was Easter, but we still had a few dedicated teams that celebrated the holiday with Louisville Trivia. It was a very tight game from start to finish with a new team, Hell's Bells, Trudy! giving our veteran teams everything that they could handle. It did appear that Round 4 may have been similar to a round that we have recently had at Four Pegs, but most of the teams scored very well so no one got an unfair advantage.

By far the crowd favorite had to be our Tough but Sensitive round. There was a point of contention after the game with one of the questions in that round. Apparently, The Terminator is not just a Schwarzenegger movie, it is also a brand of condom.

After all of the questions were read and all the answers tabulated our winner was Beercat, reclaiming their place at the top.

Four Pegs Recap 3-22-15

We had another great outing of trivia at Four Pegs last night. All of our teams had a great start right out of the gate, including our new teams, round one was a good round for all of our teams.  We even saw the return of one of our first teams to play trivia with us at Four Pegs. Unfortunately, several of the teams hit rocky times after the first round bringing down their scores. That is except our winner, Beercat. They started strong and never looked back controlling the game from start to finish. This continues their streak of wins.

We also learned a little bit about a man named Jonas Grumby, but you may know him as the skipper. Captain of the S.S. Minnow.

Four Pegs Recap 3-15-15

We had another beautiful spring like day yesterday and this kept our numbers lower than they have been. We did have several devoted teams that made it out last night and even some new teams. Round 1 was a great round overall for most teams. Several of those teams were able to keep that momentum going through out the rest of the rounds. Our elemental round was another crowd favorite with several teams getting most of the correct answers with one team, La Familia, getting them all correct. We had a tie going into the last round, but once again our winners, Beercat, pulled off another victory. Congratulations!

Four Pegs Recap 3-8-15

Last night had a smaller crowd due to either the time change or the spring-like weather. Either way it was great to see the teams that showed up. The first couple of rounds went well for everyone with several perfect scores in the picture round. After that the scores dipped. The first team to rebound was our winner. It was close, the final score came down to one answer. After some additional calculating on the host's end of things Beercat was crowned the winner.

Four Pegs Recap - Sunday, 2/15/15

We had another good size crowd last night, despite the impending snow. Most of the rounds went over well, but our "Picture Round" was hit or miss with the teams. It was great to see a lot of new teams come out last night. Our winners last night to make it three in a row was Beercat.

Four Pegs Recap - Feb. 8

The night had two themes, arrive early and bears. Four Pegs was once again packed with teams chomping at the bit to be a part of trivia. It is great to see so many teams come out to play. Best advice on getting a table, arrive early. Order some food and settle in, you won't be disappointed. The second theme of the evening was, oddly enough, bears. We are not entirely certain where that came from, but it is great to see everybody having fun.

Round one was a little too easy last night with no team scoring lower than 8 points, a great way to start off the evening. The game was a close game all the way up to the last round. There was at least a two-way tie for first in every round but the final round. It was in the last round that our winners, Bearcat (normally know as Beercat), grabbed the lead. They won with 86 points.

Four Pegs Recap - January 25

We had another big crowd tonight. It was great to see all the new teams.  This week's winners never looked back once they grabbed the lead.  Congratulations to Beercat for their win.

As far as tonight's questions go. Several of the teams had some difficulty from our Neighbors to the North tonight. Also, a lot of teams forgot about the second Bill and Ted movie, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey.
